Thank you to all of the devotees who made this the best festival yet! Next year, on October 12th, 2019, we will have our 10th Festival!!! Mark the date now!

Hare Krsna! We have been working up some very nice acoustic arrangements of our songs. This makes it possible for us to play in much smaller settings...like home programs. If you would like to have Murari Band add some music to your next home program or event, please contact Balabhadra prabhu at 404-820-5308 or Shanti Keshavi d.d at 706-809-9051. Hari Bol!!

It's almost time! We need volunteers and your kind donations. You can donate at the bottom right of this page. These donations go directly into a bank account solely for the festival. To volunteer, use the contact info on the flier. It's going to be the best festival yet!!!

Hare Krsna dear Mataji's and Prabhu's,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I am very happy to announce that the date is set for the first public kirtan under the banner of a new project that I will be promoting throughout the Atlanta area. The project is called "The Urban Kirtan Initiative."
The date is Saturday September 30th from 6-8pm at the following location:
The Core Total Body Salon and Wellness Spa
2857 Main St, East Point, GA 30344
We recently held an Earth Day festival at this location and got a very favorable response from the local people.
My goal with this initiative is to provide a positive environment for local people to experience the power of kirtan in the association of sincere devotees.
I will be leading kirtan and explaining the process as well as kirtans and bhajans performed by the Murari Band. There will also be kirtans lead by our youth and kirtans with Goparaj prabhu.
Please join us for this important kick off event.
Please contact me for further info and details about parking and Marta access.
Your servant,
Balabhadra dasa

We'll be playing at 5pm on Saturday, June 6th, on the main stage.  See you there!!

Hare Krsna! After a short delay, we have our first practice today since last September! We're so excited and ready to make some new music! Thanks again to everyone for listening to our songs. We're back up to #6 on the Atlanta spiritual chart!smile emoticon Please tell your friends. Haribol!

Hare Krsna dear matajis and prabhus, I have to share some sad but glorious news with you. My dear god brother and musical partner (Murari Band) for more than 35 years, Hasyagrami prabhu, left his body in Mayapur earlier today. He and his wife Naradi were riding a motorcycle inside the Mayapur compound and, according to Naradi, he may have suffered a heart attack while operating the bike. Naradi only suffered a few minor brusies but Hasyagrami prabhu passed away in just a few minutes after the accident, with Naradi chanting the Holy Names during his last moments.

Please pray that he attains the Lotus Feet of The Lord in the eternal abode and that he continue his service to Srila Prabhupada.

Your servant,
Balabhadra Bhattacarya dasa

We still need donations for the festival. In fact, so far only two people have donated. You can contact me at shanti.keshavi@gmail.com or use the handy-dandy donation button at the bottom right of this page! Any donation, large or small, is greatly appreciated! Haribol!

We are about two months out from the 5th Annual Oktoberfest Indian Cultural Festival in Helen, GA! This year, the cost of the festival increased quite a bit as we are bringing in the wonderful kirtaniya, Sarvatma das (www.sarvatma.com). If you would to contribute to help make this year's festival the best ever, you can contact me, Shanti Keshavi devi dasi (shanti.keshavi@gmail.com, 706-809-9051) or there is a donation button on this website. Whether your donation is large, small, or in-between, it is greatly appreciated! See you October 11th!! Haribol!

The schedule is set! We'll be playing both Sat. and Sun. on the Gaura stage. Can't wait to see you there. The schedules are below. Panihati Festival ki jai!

Hare Krsna!  We will be playing on Saturday and Sunday on the main stage.  I'll post times as soon as I know.  See you there!!  Haribol!

Something of Value is now available at I-Tunes, Amazon mp3, and most other online stores!https://itunes.apple.com/album/something-of-value/id829848800

Huge news!!! As I write this, I am uploading the album "Something of Value" by New Money (Murari Band). This is the 1984 album that, until now, has only been available on cassette (If you could find a copy!). Now, for the very first time, it has been re-mastered and will be available for download on I-Tunes, Amazon mp3, and all of your other favorite online stores! This is the album that introduced me to Murari Band (they had changed their name to New Money for this album) and I became a fan immediately! This album features Sleeper in My Heart, Brainwashed, Burned Out, I Don't Live Here Anymore, Something of Value, and more! It's been my favorite for many, many years and it sounds amazing in digital form!!!! I'll let you know as soon as it's available. Haribol!!!!

So...after much discussion, we have decided to change the name of the band back to the original name: Murari Band. The main reason is that we're doing more than just traditional kirtan music. We also enjoy playing western style spiritual songs and Murari Band has a large catalog that we want to play as well as write new music to glorify Krsna. Our website will now be www.murariband.com and our Facebook page will change to Murari Band in a couple of weeks. We're VERY excited to bring back Murari Band and look forward, with the blessings of Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga to continue to spread the Sankirtan movement to as many people in as many places as possible! Haribol!!

We had a great time at the Helen Festival and I want to thank all of the devotees who did such great service to make this a big success!  It's hard to believe that next year will be our FIFTH anniversary!

We played two songs this past Sat. at the ISKCON temple in honor of Srila Prabhupada.  It was the 15 year anniversary of the Super Saturday program.  It was very humbling to be a part of that.  It's aso the first time we've played acoustically!  It went really well and everyone seemed to enjoy the songs.

Next up?  Balabhadra prabhu's birthday bash and Kirtanfest ATL on Dec. 14th and 21st respectively.  Click on the "Upcoming Programs" link for more info.  See you soon!  Haribol!

Now available.  Click on our store tab for a link to i-Tunes! This is a beautiful album! Helping Naradi devi dasi on this album are Balabhadra Battacarya das, Hasyagrami das, and Dasaratha Suta Das along with guest appearances by Lila-Kesavi, Vidura, Ralph Humes, Hari Birdi, and the Assembled Devotees Chorus on "Dasa Avatara".

The band would like to thank everyone who came out last night.  We had a wonderful time and, judging by the comments said to me by those attending, everyone else did, too!  :-)  Special thanks to my amazing god-sister, Kamalaksi Radhika devi dasi, Parampara prabhu, Premanjali devi dasi, Mitra Vinda devi dasi, and Geoff Logsdon for all your help.  We couldn't have done it without you.

We hope to do one more program at The Self Discovery Center in September to tune up for the big Helen Oktoberfest Indian Cultural Festival.  I'll keep you posted.

Also, I'll have video and audio clips of last night's program up soon.

Thanks again!

For the first time ever, you can now download the original Murari Band album.  It's been remastered and sounds incredible!!!  Available at I-Tunes, Amazon MP3, and most other music download sites.

Ok...so I did this a little backwards, but "Dreaming", the second album by Murari Band is now available for download digitally for the first time! The debut album, "Murari", will be available Aug. 1st! Please share this information with everyone you know! These albums have been remastered in digital format and sound incredible!!!! Haribol! The wait is over!

Welcome to our new website!  We're very excited to have this new home.  Please make sure that you come back often as we'll be posting more audio and video regularly.  Also, be sure to check our Upcoming Programs page.  After all...there's nothing better than LIVE kirtan.  Our next program is Aug. 10th and all the details are on that page.
